I’ll be doing two signings and moderating two panels at New York Comic Con this weekend! I’ll be discussing ARCHIE MEETS KISS at my signings and the series will be part of the Archie panel, too! Very excited to be wearing the creator hat during NYCC this year. So, for those of you that are interested, here’s a rundown.
I’ll be signing at the Archie Comics booth (#1630) with my ARCHIE MEETS KISS collaborator Dan Parent on Saturday from 4-5pm and from 3-4pm on Sunday. Please come by! Dan will be signing a ton of stuff, and I’ll be happy to sign copies of ARCHIE & FRIENDS #156 and some ARCHIE MEETS KISS promo stuff.

10:45AM - 11:45AM Archie Video Games: Sonic and Mega Man - This year Sonic celebrates his 20th anniversary and for 19 of those years, Archie has crafted an epic and exciting comic universe around Sonic the Hedgehog and the many wonderful characters that populate the universe of the SEGA character, recently taking the Blue Blur back to his video game roots in a story arc appropriately titled, “Genesis”. As if that wasn’t enough blue, this panel also highlights the top selling Mega Man series featuring the Blue Bomber’s compelling, detailed universe of the best-selling video game series. Join writer Ian Flynn (Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Universe, Mega Man), artist Patrick “Spaz” Spaziante (Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man), Editor Paul Kaminski (Sonic, Mega Man), Archie President Mike Pellerito and Executive Director of Publicity and Marketing Alex Segura for a discussion that promises to be full of big Sonic and Mega Man news, teasers, artwork and more!

Over at @MulhollandBooks, @MeganEAbbott is interviewed @missSaraGran. I just finished reading Abbott’s THE END OF EVERYTHING and was very impressed. She does a wonderful job of getting into the mind of a young girl wracked by tragedy and weaves a compelling and surprising mystery. Good stuff. I also highly recommend Gran’s CLAIRE DEWITT AND THE CITY OF THE DEAD, which I read right before EVERYTHING, coincidentally.
Just a few quick updates as I finish getting ready for my flight to San Diego Comic-Con tomorrow — my first with some actual “writer”-type work to do!

Additionally, I’ll be moderating two Archie panels: “Archie Comics: The Future of Riverdale and Beyond” on Saturday at 11am in Room 23ABC and “Archie Comics: Building a Video Game Comic Legacy with Sonic and Mega Man” on Sunday at 11am in Room 32AB. Both panels should be a lot of fun. I’ll also be announcing and discussing my next Archie Comics project at the Saturday panel!
